Subject: Cell Phone Etiquette
This memo is to serve as the foundation for expectations for cell phone etiquette in the office. Everyone’s priority should be to produce great work and to be productive at work, therefore calling for certain cell phone behaviors.
General Expectations
Cell phones should be stored away at work. All work material is completely able to be handled on your company computer and desk telephone. There is no business of using cell phones in the office whatsoever.
Exclusions
I do recognize that emergencies may sometimes rise and you must communicate with someone via your cell phone. In that case, I only ask for the utmost respect and that you do so quietly, without distraction, and take care of what you need to.
My goal is that this office remains productive and producing the great work I know we are capable of! I don’t want cell phones to be what is stopping us from serving our clients to our best ability!
